Race Rules
All participants are required to show a photo id to pick up their runner's packet. Runner's packet includes bib number, safety pins for bib, chip, plastic tie to secure chip, and instructions. There is no packet pickup on race day.
You must register to participate in all events.
10K Team Competition
If the minimum of 4 team members is not registered by August 31, 2008, the members registered on the team will revert to individual registration for the 10K. No transfers or refunds are available.
Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The only exception is for military personnel who will deploy at the time of the race. Military personnel are to provide documentation of deployment to the USAF Marathon office. Runners may change to a different race if space is available. Registration fees will apply based on the date the change is made; no refunds will be allowed.
Bib Number Requirements

All registered runners will receive a bib number that must be worn on race day. If you are not wearing your bib during the race, you will be considered a bandit runner and will be escorted off the course.

The bib must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race.

Please fill in the necessary medical and emergency contact information on the back of the bib number. Use a pen or waterproof marker.

Do not alter the bib in any way.

Bib numbers are non-transferable and must be worn by the registrant to whom they have been assigned.
Chip Requirements

All registrants will receive a chip that must be worn on the shoe in order to be timed. The chip needs to be attached to your shoe; otherwise, the timing mats will not be able to record the time.

Awards for the overall, military, and 10K team winners will be based on gun time; age category, Clydesdale, and Athena winners will be determined by chip time.

Chip times will be used for your official running time and on your certificate of race completion.

Participants who own their own Champion Chip must provide this information when registering and then verify at packet pickup.

Fasten the chip with the strip provided with the chip.

Chip is non-transferable and must be worn only by the participant to whom it is assigned.

Do not lose the chip. A $35 replacement fee will be charged to any participant who fails to return the chip at the finish line. A volunteer will offer to help you remove the chip at the finish line.
Safety on Course

For the safety and enjoyment of all event participants, the courses are restricted to registered runners/walkers, wheelchair division participants and official race personnel only.

No dogs, no strollers, no baby joggers, no bikes, no inline skates, no roller skates, and no wheeled vehicles (other than registered wheelchair and official Bike EMS and Patrol Teams) will be allowed on course.

Violators will be disqualified and escorted from the course by race officials.

For the safety of all, the use of headphones is discouraged.
