Sports & Fitness Expo

NOTE: All participants are required to show a photo id to pick up their runner's packet. Runner's packet includes bib number, safety pins for bib, chip, plastic tie to secure chip, and instructions. There is no packet pickup on race day.

Sports and Fitness ExpositionThe United States Air Force (USAF) Marathon will host a two day Sports & Fitness Exposition at the Ervin J. Nutter Center, Wright State University, on Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, September 19, 2008 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Expo vendors will have the opportunity to promote and sell their products and/or services to thousands of runners, health & fitness enthusiasts and spectators. The Sports & Fitness Exposition is free and open to the public.

Initial estimates show that about 18,000 people attended the 2007 expo and spent roughly $525,000 on purchases and lodging during the event. Our USAF Marathon runners represent the typical running community by being an affluent and well-educated group of people. Our runners represented 50 states and 6 foreign countries in 2007. This gives expo vendors the opportunity to connect with a large and global target market of health & fitness enthusiasts. The 2007 USAF Marathon experienced a 25% increase in runner registrations. Our goal for 2008 is 10,000 runners participating in the USAF Marathon thus increasing the number of people attending and dollars spent at the expo.

The expo offers merchandise sales opportunities, sampling, exhibition, running clinics, stage floor performance/demonstration opportunities, speaker's forum and more. Our professional staff will work with your organization to help you achieve your marketing goals and ensure promotional success.

The Ervin J. Nutter Center is a state of the art facility conveniently located near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Wright State University . Become a Vendor

VENDOR APPLICATION

In order to reserve a booth space, the Marathon Office must receive a Concessionaire Contract, a Vendor Application, and a check made payable to "USAF Marathon" no later than August 1, 2008. For more information, contact the Marathon Office at (937) 257-4350 or usaf.marathon@wpafb.af.mil.

FLOOR PLAN

The booth space is 10 feet wide by 8 feet deep for a cost of $400 for 2 days. Additional booth spaces are $350. Included in the booth cost is one table, two chairs, one 6" x 36" identification sign, and one trash basket. All spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Electric hookup included at no cost.

Set Up:

Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. Displays must be ready for showing before opening at 12:00 noon.

Booth Description:

•  Booth is 8 feet deep by 10 feet wide - draping on sides & back (blue & silver)
•  Skirted table - 6 feet (blue and silver), two chairs and one trash can
•  Electrical Power provided - vendor to provide own extension cords
•  7" x 44" Vendor Identification Sign
•  Booth fee is $400

•  Additional booth $350.00
•  Extra 8' skirted table $ 50.00
•  Extra 6' skirted table $ 55.00

All materials must be removed from the Sports & Fitness Exposition no later than 11:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008.

Concessionaire Contract will be sent when confirmation is completed. Exhibitors must furnish liability insurance in accordance with Article II, paragraph 11 of the Concessionaire Contract, before confirmation of booth space will be given.
